Happy Friday, Savvy Readers! I hope you’ve been staying warm wherever you are as it seems as though winter is back with a vengeance. Luckily, as bookworms, staying inside with a book is just as fun. 1. Celebrate Black History Month with Diverse Books and a New #50BookPledge Badge!

It’s Black History Month this month and we’re celebrating all month (year!) long by reading some amazing stories by fantastic authors. We’ve also introduced a new Black History Month badge for the 50 Book Pledge. You can earn it by reading one (or all!) of these unforgettable books: Steal Away Home by Karolyn Smardz Frost, Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly, or The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. It’s almost that time again! Canada Reads is an annual battle of the books competition hosted by the CBC. This year’s contenders were announced this week and they all look fantastic. 1. Now Trending: #TrumpBookReport 

It seems like no one can escape the US election these days and now the bookish community has joined in on the discussion. On Wednesday night, a Twitter user mentioned that Donald Trump‘s statements sounded like a book report written by someone who hadn’t read their required reading.
