Guess what, Savvy Readers… It’s officially time for 2019’s FIRST 50 Book Pledge Featured Read! Isn’t that so freaking exciting?! And even better? This pick is already being hailed as the BIGGEST thriller of 2019! Want to hear more? Of course you do. Read on!
Juliette loves Nate. After all, anyone would love Nate, right? He’s the perfect guy. She’s already decide that she’ll follow him anywhere. Wherever he goes, Juliette wants to be there. How far is she willing to go? Well, she became a flight attendant with the airline that he flies with so that she can be around him all the time. If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is. They’re clearly meant to be. Right?
WRONG! Turns out, Nate broke up with Juliette, like, six months ago. But for Juliette, that was nothing more than a little tiff that got blown out of proportion. Besides, Nate doesn’t really have a say in this matter, because she has the perfect plan to win him back. (This development certainly makes all of the above slightly… disturbing, eh?)
Juliette knows that she’s the perfect girlfriend (see what I did there?), she just needs another chance to prove it. And this plan of her? It’s flawless. In her mind, nothing – and I mean nothing – will stop her from getting exactly what she wants. Know why? Because Juliette knows that true love hurts. But she also knows that it’s worth all the pain…
Honestly, this novel is the most shocking, disturbing thriller you will ever read. Juliette is the most disturbed narrator that we’ve ever read, and we’ve read a ton of thrillers. Seriously. There’s this hilarious scene in The Simpsons where Milhouse, watching someone try to park in an extremely tight parking space, says “I fear to watch, but I cannot look away.” We can’t think of a better line to describe our feelings toward this book. The lengths to which Juliette will go to win Nate back will shock and disturb you, but you can’t help but read on! The Perfect Girlfriend is an absolute rollercoaster of a book, and you’ll be left breathless by the final page.
Happy New Year’s Eve, Savvy Readers! Stay safe tonight, everyone!
