Savvy Readers! The second book in the Carve the Mark duology (AKA the conclusion!) is HERE!
Globally bestselling Divergent author Veronica Roth *finally* (we’ve been waiting for a long time) reveals how Cyra and Akos will fulfill their fates. The Fates Divide is a tale of hope and resilience.
Told in four different perspectives, The Fates Divide brings the Carve the Mark duology to a stunning conclusion. Cyra Noavek and Akos Kereseth are ruled by their fates that are, once determined, inescapable.
As we know from Carve the Mark, Akos is in love with Cyra, in spite of his fate: He will die in service to Cyra’s family. And when Cyra’s father, Lazmet Noavek—a soulless tyrant, thought to be dead—reclaims the Shotet throne, Akos believes that his end is closer than ever.
Lazmet ignites a barbaric war with Cyra and Akos desperate to stop him at any cost. For Cyra, this could mean taking the life of the may who may (or may not?) be her father. For Akos, it could mean giving his own.
There are some SERIOUSLY stunning twists in here you guys. Cyra and Akos are about to discover how fate defines their lives in the most unexpected ways… I’ve been so excited for this story since I finished Carve the Mark last year, and I’m sooo happy that it’s finally here. I just loved the completion of this duology (if you can’t tell).
Veronica Roth cleverly explores strength in this sci-fi novel, while continuing her amazing but subtle world-building. It’s action packed, filled with tension, quick-paced, romantic, and just beautifully written. And space travel! I’m so satisfied with the outcome of both Akos and Cyra’s journey.
And I mean that tagline—He’d die for her. She’d kill for him. YES, PLEASE. If you’re just as excited as I am for this one, you can check out a sneak peek of the beginning of The Fates Divide here! And then get your copy here!
Happy reading, Savvy Readers!
