I want to be right here, right now… Reading The Lost Girls of Camp Forevermore, of course.
Today’s the last day of my mini-vacation and I intend to read as much as possible. I had a bit of a reading slump last week and I want to finish the month off strong. I’m reading several books at once right now and one of them is The Lost Girls of Camp Forevermore. So far I’m enjoying it and hope to finish it today or tomorrow. What are y’all reading this week? ••• Thank you again to @hmhbooks for sending me an advance copy.
She said it. If you’re looking for an amazing new read, check out Educated.
Love, Simon hits theatres in just a few weeks, but this amazing movie tie-in edition is making up for the wait.
So last night I was lucky enough to see an early viewing of @lovesimonmovie, and I'll tell you all just three things about it… 1. It was perfect. 2. It was perfect. 3. It was perfect!!!!!! I can't wait for you all to see this incredible adaptation!! 😍 ❤️ 😍 ❤️ 😍 #lovesimon #lovesimonmovie #simonvs #simonvsthehomosapiensagenda #yapride #yalit #igreads #yabooks #bookaholic #bookstagram #amreading #beckyalbertalli #booktomovie #igbooks #yareads #teenreads
*LOVE* this cover. We recommend The Atomic City Girls for fans of The Alice Network!
Anybody else travel around with a bag of books at all times because you just never know? 🙋🏻🙋🏻 I finished The Atomic City Girls last night – and thank you to @harpercollinsca, what a fun way to change things up!! Two things I love to read/learn about are the World Wars and history from a-non straight white man's perspective, and this checked both boxes. I learned more about the A-bomb from both a woman and African American worker's perspective, and was cheering for both. Although I will caution that this is not a fast paced read, it is perfect for a history lover on a slow, cozy Sunday ☕️
Dennis Lee came to Toronto and this is the most adorable picture EVER (featuring his newest release Good Night, Good Night).
It was a full house today for Dennis Lee!! We love watching a new generation fall in love with his work. It was a dream come true to meet him and thrilling hear his iconic poems. Thank you to @internationalfestivalofauthors and @harpercollinsca, @torontoartscouncil, @cityofto and, of course, our beautiful customers and neighbours for helping make the event a huge success!! 💕🐊🥧
This Will Be My Undoing is “blindingly honest yet powerfully tender”. Yes, please!!!
I'm just going to leave this quote here & say that you should read this blindingly honest yet powerfully tender book of essays.⠀ "… One-sided feminism is dead. This book is not ABOUT all women, but it is meant FOR all women, and men, and those who do not adhere to the gender binary. It is for you. You. Our blackness doesn't distance us from other women; however it does distinguish us, and this requires further understanding. At the same time, my story is not a one-size-fits-all take about black womanhood. This is not your resolution but the continuation of your education, or maybe the beginning. We deserve to be the center; our expansive stories are worthy of being magnified for all their ugliness, beauty, mundaneness, and grandeur. I will not baby you. Instead, I will force you to keep your eyes on me and, in turn, us, and see the seams of everyday life that you have been privileged to ignore but that have wrecked us."⠀ – Morgan Jerkins, THIS WILL BE MY UNDOING
Okay, so not exactly a book picture, but now you know what to drink while reading Only Killers and Thieves.
Cheers to #OnlyKillersAndThieves, the debut novel from #PaulHowarth that was selected as an #IndiesIntroduce title and an #IndieNext Pick! Paul is currently at #WinterInstitute in Memphis where everyone is “buzzed” about the book and our #OnlyKillersandThieves themed whiskey 🥃 Pre-order your copy of the book at the link in our profile #Wi13 #IGReads
This looks like the perfect set-up for getting lost in I’ll Be Gone in the Dark.
Crushing It! is the next how-to book you need in your life (with a side of fruit).
