Savvy Readers!!!!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful month of May. I can already say with confidence that I know some of you have been doing lots of reading (ahem, Savvy Readathon!), and I can’t think of a better way to kick off summer (and the long weekend!).

The 50 Book Pledge

I am so, so, SO proud of us, Savvy Readers! This year we are going to EXCEED 100% of our goal, I just know it. We’re already at 43% of our community goal of reading 150,000 books this year. We’ve read over 64,900 books! That’s a lot of pages! We are also nearing on 5,000 pledgers—currently 4,977 pledgers strong! So, what do you say?

Our Featured Read!

GinnyMoon2

This week we read the wonderful Ginny Moon by debut author Benjamin Ludwig. Ginny is a young girl with autism who has recently been adopted by Maura and Brian, her Forever Parents. After the police took her away from her abusive mother, Gloria, Ginny was bounced back and forth between countless foster homes. But being away from Gloria isn’t what Ginny is focused on—it’s being away from her Baby Doll. And she’s willing to do just about anything to find it. Read our full review on Ginny Moon here, and check out what our fellow readers thought below!

“Benjamin Ludwig’s debut novel, Ginny Moon is already one of my favourite reads for 2017.” – Luanne O., Amazon.ca

This is my favourite book of the year, and any book I read now will be compared to this.” – Maria Z, Blog.

“This is a wonderful novel with characters you will come to care about. The story stayed with me long after I’d finished the book. I highly recommend it.” – Easy Writer, Amazon.com
