Hi Savvy Readers! As April comes to a close this weekend, I only have one thing on my mind: staying in bed and knocking of more of my TBR list.
In case you were busy (reading), here’s what you may have missed this week…
The 50 Book Pledge
We’re pushing forward with our community reading goal! This week, we’ve reached 36% of our goal (of 150,000 books!) – that means we’ve read over 55,000 books already! That’s GREAT!
Don’t forget to tell your friends about the 50 Book Pledge and make it a group activity! Anyone can join and set their pledge of books they want to read for the year. Let’s do this, Savvy Readers!
This Week’s Featured Read
Have you picked up this week’s Featured Read? If not, do it now! The Colour of Our Sky by Amita Trasi is a powerful story of two childhood friends in Mumbai and their intertwining journey. We loved this book and know that you will too! Other readers agree:
“This book really touched me and I found myself extremely invested in the characters and the story. The characters are so complex, yet so relatable.” – Dana, Goodreads
“The Color of Our Sky is an unforgettable story. What a stunning debut about the bond between two girls from different caste systems in India. I was immersed and transported to a reality that was heartbreaking but hopeful, with the resilience of the human spirit triumphing even in the most debased of human conditions.” – Laura, Amazon
“This is by far the best book I have read in a very long time. The story is so beautifully written and the story is absolutely heartbreaking. This one is going to haunt me for awhile.” – Monique, Goodreads
