Happy Friday, Savvy Readers! I hope you’ve been staying safe and warm this wintry week. As always we’ve been reading for our 50 Book Pledge and writing about our favourite books. And, of course, our Bookmarks posts are here to recap what happened in the bookish world in the past week! Well, you know we love to share happy news, links, and photos, but I’m sorry to inform you that this week we’re starting off with something a bit grim…

1. A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 is Coming!

More unfortunate events? It’s true! The Baudelaire children will have to suffer a little bit longer as it was announced this week that Netflix has signed up for a second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events. 2. Fun fact: There Might Be A Reason Why Waldo Is Getting Harder to Find

Are you a fan of the Where’s Waldo books? Are you finding them increasingly difficult? Well don’t blame your eyesight just yet —  the CBC found out this past week that Waldo has actually become smaller throughout the years! Find out more about this fascinating fact — with pictures — here.

3. All Hail the Mighty Glow Cloud! Something New is Brewing in Night Vale

Great news, Welcome to Night Vale fans! In their newest episode, Welcome to Night Vale announced that a new book, It Devours!, is coming out on October 17th, 2017. The book will explore “the intersections of faith and science, the growing relationship between two young people who want desperately to trust each other, and the terrifying, toothy power of the Smiling God.” Preorder it here and learn more about the previous books here.
