On International Women’s Day, the longlist for the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction was announced! The Baileys Prize is awarded annually to a female author “to celebrate excellence, originality, and accessibility in writing by women throughout the world.” We’re thrilled to see 50 Book Pledge (and personal) favourite Heather O’Neill on the list for her magical The Lonely Hearts Hotel! CanLit is also represented on the list by Margaret Atwood’s Hag-Seed and Madeleine Thien’s Do Not Say We Have Nothing. See the full longlist here.
3. Earn an International Women’s Day Badge and Enter to Win a Feminist Prize Pack
Speaking of International Women’s Day, we celebrated our female friends and fierce authors with an #IWD2017 badge! Any book from our Girl Boss Reading List will qualify you for the badge, so make sure to check them out here. Women’s Voices is also spreading the love with a fantastic giveaway – click here to learn more about some powerful female voices and enter to win an International Women’s Day Feminist Prize Pack! 4. Live Life Unfiltered With Lily Collins
It must be difficult to grow up with a famous father — Lily Collins knows a bit about that. In her new memoir, Unfiltered, Lily bares it all and encourages her fans to live their lives unfiltered and with no shame or regrets. She inspired us so much that we wrote about our favourite celebrity memoirs AND decided to host a giveaway on Twitter! Enter to win here.
