If You Liked The Nest, Then Try…

If you liked The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney, then try Perfect Little World by Kevin Wilson. Here’s why…

Family Day is tomorrow, so it has us thinking about the families in literature, and especially these two novels in particular. If you read and fell in love with The Nest (like we did!) you probably enjoyed its comedic notes based on family dynamics, complicated emotions and moral dilemmas as it follows four siblings desperately waiting for their piece of the ‘nest’. Similarly, Perfect Little World follows the young narrator Isabelle, her pregnancy and her very unconventional family as she explores what constitutes family and how complicated it can be. Both novels are similar in the way they creatively explore the impact of our loved ones, and how that shapes the human experience.
