The Fire by Night by Teresa Messineo (January 17, 2017)
Author Teresa Messineo makes her debut with this powerful and evocative novel about two military nurses who risked their lives in the fight that was World War II. The Fire by Night is a story of friendship, valor, sacrifice and survival. It is a story that brings to life the pain and uncertainty of war and the sustaining power of love and friendship.
The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck (March 28, 2017)
From the author of The Hazards of Good Breeding comes a story of three women who are haunted by the past and the secrets they hold. Marianne von Lingenfels, the widow of a resister murdered in the plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, plans to find and protect her fellow resistance widows. The Women in the Castle is written with the same emotional power of The Nightingale, Sarah’s Key, and The Light Between Oceans.
The Best of Adam Sharp by Graeme Simsion (April 11, 2017)
The beloved author of The Rosie Project is back with an unforgettable new novel about lost love and second chances. Adam Sharp likes his life—his partner Claire, looking after his mother, doing the occasional consulting job in IT. But there’s one thing he can’t shake off: the nostalgia for what might have been… with Angelina Brown. The Best of Adam Sharp is about growing old and feeling young, about happy times and sad memories. But most of all, it’s about the power of the songs we sing when we fall in love.
The Finishing School by Joanna Goodman (April 11, 2017)
Kerti Kuusk, a successful writer, returns to her elite Swiss boarding school in order to get to the bottom of a tragic accident that took place while she was a student twenty years earlier. In 1998, Kersti’s best friend, the beautiful Cressida Strauss, plunged from a fourth-floor balcony at the Lycée Internationale Suisse boarding school. Kersti is determined to figure out if it was a suicide attempt, or if someone pushed her. The Finishing School is definitely unputdownable. And let me tell you, I just finished reading this book and could not stop thinking about what was going to happen until I got to the very end.
The Color of Our Sky by Amita Trasi (April 18, 2017)
This powerful debut novel from Amita Trasi is written in the spirit of authors like Khaled Hosseini, Nadia Hashimi, and Shilpi Somaya Gowda.
