Hi fellow Savvy Readers! It’s been very rainy this week here in Toronto — the perfect weather for snuggling up on the couch with a great book. But before you immerse yourself in your next favourite read, be sure to catch up on all the must-see bookish news of the week:

1. Now Trending: #TrumpBookReport 

It seems like no one can escape the US election these days and now the bookish community has joined in on the discussion. On Wednesday night, a Twitter user mentioned that Donald Trump‘s statements sounded like a book report written by someone who hadn’t read their required reading. 2. A New J.R.R. Tolkien Book is on Its Way

Have you finished colouring in your The Lord of the Rings Movie Trilogy Colouring Book? Are you craving new material from J.R.R. Tolkien? You’re in luck! A new “Middle Earth love story,” Beren and Lúthien, has been announced.The book is to be published next year but you can read The Guardian‘s article about it right now.

3. In Case You Missed It: Kendare Blake and Lauren Oliver Answer Your Questions

It’s been an incredibly exciting week for YA fans! Kendare Blake (Three Dark Crowns), M-E Girard (Girl Mans Up), and Lauren Oliver (Replica) met fans two nights in a row during their #FrenzyPresents events.
