It’s finally September, Savvy Readers! I’ll admit, I’ve already had my first pumpkin spice latte and it was glorious. But what’s even more glorious than that is the amazing and fun book news I have to share with you this week. Keep reading to get caught up or simply “Bookmark” this post to read later!

2. Fantastic Beasts Are Swooping Onto Your Bookshelves — and Twitter Feeds

Fantastic Beasts Movie Tie-In Books and Colouring Books

This has been a very exciting week for Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter fans! First, Twitter and @FantasticBeasts announced new Twitter stickers to celebrate the upcoming movie. (See my attempt at wizardry here…) Then, the movie tie-in book covers were revealed! The first colouring book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Magical Characters and Places Coloring Book, came out yesterday. Learn more about it here and see the line up of books here.

3. Save The Date: The Giller Prize Longlist is Coming

To me, the arrival of fall is synonymous with awards season so don’t forget to mark your calendars with all the important dates. (Or check Bookmarks every week and I’ll keep track for all of us!) The first big date is coming next week: on Wednesday September 7th, the Scotiabank Giller Prize Longlist will be announced.
