We know it can be hard keeping up with all of the exciting book news on the internet (fall is the busiest season in publishing, after all!), so we’ve rounded up some of our favourite news stories, links, and photos so you can get all caught up! 1. This week, the CBC revealed the book trailer for The Illegal, the highly anticipated new novel by Lawrence Hill! I was already incredibly excited for this upcoming novel, but this beautiful (and intriguing) book trailer is making me even more impatient! The book doesn’t come out until September 8th, so join me in re-watching this trailer for the 20th time:

 

2. The Toronto Book Awards shortlist was announced on Monday, and our very own Emily St. John Mandel is nominated for her novel Station Eleven! Congratulations, Emily! We will be cheering Station Eleven on at the awards presentation on October 17th. Have you read Station Eleven, yet?
