Things to Look Forward to on The Savvy Reader

I hope 2014 is off to a great start for you, Savvy Readers! It certainly is for us; we have so many great books and new updates to the blog to share with you this year!

Firstly, of course, is the 2014 50 Book Pledge. After such a successful year last year, we wanted to thank our awesome 50 Book Pledgers by making this year all about YOU! Fill out your 50 Book Pledge profile and find out how you can become our Featured Pledger here. We’ll still be recommending books, awarding badges and running contests, so be sure to check it out!

Secondly is all the new content we’ll be sharing on the blog. In addition to our reviews, top ten lists and giveaways, we’ll be sharing reviews of the latest book-to-movie adaptions in theatres, inviting authors to join us on the blog and sharing insider secrets of the publishing industry for aspiring authors, editors and publishers. Seriously guys, 2014 has a lot of great new books coming out and we can’t wait to discuss them with you!

A priority for ours in 2014 is to step up our Book Club program. Want to be a part of it? Follow us on twitter and Pinterest for more information and get a head start on your reading with our upcoming Savvy Reader Book Club picks:

January: Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight
February: Somewhere In France by Jennifer Robson
March: The Good Luck of Right Now by Matthew Quick

Don’t forget to subscribe to the Savvy Reader newsletter and, if you haven’t already, send a quick email to savvyreader@harpercollins.com for a chance to win a set of one of our upcoming books! Just tell us about your book club: it’s name, number of members and which book your club is reading next for a chance to win.

Finally, stay tuned for the updates we mentioned in November. We’ll be unveiling a new look soon and can’t wait to hear what you think!

Happy Reading!
