Happy long weekend, everyone! It is a time to rejoice, relax, and celebrate this past summer. We’re inviting you take a page out of Thoreau’s book and remember, “One must maintain a little bittle of summer, even in the middle of winter.” After all, despite summer’s end, we still have so much to look forward to:

1.

I mean DIVERGENT! A lot of things have happened in the Divergent world, but here are a few things to tide you over until the movie comes out:
Official Trailer
Behind the Scenes

MTV All Access Interview with Theo James and Miles Teller

And if that isn’t enough for you, then let me just remind you of something else we’re looking forward to:

2.

What do you think this excerpt means? Let’s compare notes @HCCFrenzy!

3. One Direction may be the hottest boy band around, but they’re also the busiest.

The boys are doing a second tour, 3D documentary,  and recently won a Moonman for Song of the Summer at the VMAs!

W O W.

They’ve come so far since Dare to Dream, but catch up on their story and check out Where We Are!

This book picks up right where they left off and is full of exclusive pictures! Liam also hinted that 1D’s new album will be “quite retro” so now is a great time to catch up on their history.

Just how excited are you?

4. With great power tv comes great responsibility…to maintain a tv schedule.

Are you ready for the return of Homeland?!

Mark your calendars for September 29th, 9pm sharp!

If you haven’t seen the show yet, I’ve got your back! If you have seen the show, then no explanation is necessary.

Join me as I prepare myself for the new season by reading the prequel, Homeland: Carrie’s Run.

It’s 2006 and Carrie has just escaped an ambush while attempting to meet with a new contact, code-name Nightingale. Set in Beirut, this book unravels every mystery you’ve ever wanted to investigate about Carrie Mathison.

5. We know you’re sad about summer ending too, so let’s end things on a high note! Here’s a giveaway to cheer you up:

In the south of France, a man trying to leave his past behind is caught in a shadowy web of political ambition and violence.

Come Barbarians by Todd Babiak will leave you intrigued and on the edge of your seat!

Castle star, Nathan Fillion agrees: “Todd has crafted a dark mystery that had me contemplating, “What would I do?,” all the while painting a beautiful landscape. Would make Richard Castle proud!”

Excited yet? I know I am.

That’s it for this week, I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend! As always, we’d love to hear what you’re reading @SavvyReader 🙂
