Events This Week: October 15th Edition

I’ve said it so many times, but it has remained true: fall is the busiest time for book lovers. This week is a great example, as it hosts many wonderful events across Canada that are fun and affordable for the fiction or nonfiction fanatic. This week, The Vancouver International Writers Festival continues. It is an event that has become a tradition over the past 25 years, aiming to celebrate literature and turn reading into a community experience. Each year, the festival brings people together to share thoughts,  ideas, and engage in conversation about CanLit (and international literature as well!) Below are just a few of the amazing authors who will be in attendance this year. For the full list, check their festival at a glance here.

Of course, the fall isn’t complete without Toronto’s International Festival of Authors. Like Van Writer’s Fest, the IFOA aims to celebrate authors and their work, bringing them together to one place to engage with fans. Below, we have some of the authors in attendance this week – but the festival is 11 days long! For more information, click here!

Of course, the fall wouldn’t be complete without independent author visits and book signings, so I urge you to check the list and see if there is one near you. Experiences like this don’t come around often! …okay, maybe they do right now. But they’re exciting nonetheless!
