Hello Savvy Readers! I hope you had a wonderful long weekend. Isn’t it funny that our “holiday” weekends are often the busiest? Personally, I had three family dinners in three different cities across Ontario. Nevertheless, it was a great weekend, and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to sit down with a good book (even if it was in a car!) Hopefully you shared that opportunity too! Regardless of whether or not your weekend was relaxing, it is the beginning of the week and therefore time to open up your calendars (or smartphones!) and check out the events across Canada this week!
October 13: Kathleen Peacock, author of Hemlock, will be at Indigo East Point, in Saint John at 2PM.
October 10: Peter James, author of Not Dead Yet, will be at the Hamilton Public Library, in Hamilton at 2PM.
October 14: Amanda Lang, author of The Power of Why, will be at the Globe and Mail/Ben McNally Books Authors’ Brunch at the King Edward Hotel, in Toronto at 10AM. *Please note: this is a ticketed event. Details here.
If you attend an event, we want to hear about it (or better yet, see it. Take pictures!) Tweet at us (@SavvyReader) to let us know how it went. Happy short-week!
