The September #50BookPledge Pick

Looking for a book to read for your 50 Book Pledge? I suggest The Roots of the Olive Tree by Courtney Miller Santo. It’s about 5 generations of firstborn women all living in the same house in an olive grove, but everything changes when the youngest becomes pregnant with a baby boy.

The Roots of the Olive Tree is told through the perspectives of all five women, and shows how secrets can tear apart even the closest families.

“This family grabbed my heart and as I turned the last page I was very sorry that I had to say goodbye to them. The Roots of the Olive Tree is a novel I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!” – Darlene at Peeking Through the Pages

  1. I just finished The Cat’s Table, by Michael Ondaatje. I loved it! His writing is beautiful, as always. I’ve read 40 books so far.
