HCC March Madness: The Sweet 16 Revealed!

It’s time for Round 3 of HCC March Madness! The Sweet 16 compete this week, but only one will be crowned champion on April 16th. (Here are our past champions).

Last week we had some of the closest match-ups ever in the SavvyReader bracket, with 3 of the titles winning by approx 50 votes! Over in the YA bracket, we had no idea what would happen when The Graveyard Book by the wonderful Neil Gaiman went up against Veronica Roth’s Divergent. It was a close match, but again #DivergentNation pushed hard to support their dystopian darling and Divergent made it through to the next round.

We have some interesting match-ups this week . Two classics, To Kill a Mockingbird and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, go head-to-head in the HCCLibraryLove division, while our ‘Certified Savvy Read’ Secret Daughter goes up against The Given Day, by past champion Dennis Lehane. As for our 4 remaining YA books, 3 beloved storybooks go are left alongside one of our hottest new YA titles, Divergent. Vote now!

Don’t forget, you can vote every hour! And, once a day after voting, you can enter to win ALL 64 BOOKS in the tournament.  That’s quite the library! Along the way, we hope you’ll take the chance to click on each book to read a sample. Perhaps you’ll find a new favourite or be reminded why you fell for your beloved in the first place.
